Most Airline Counters Move to Temporary Locations
DEN is temporarily relocating 24 airline check-in/bag drop counters as construction continues on the Great Hall Program. Between April 9 and June 30, the counters at the south end of Jeppesen Terminal’s east and west sides will be temporarily moving from Level 6 to Level 5. These airlines will remain on Level 5 in their temporary operation through mid-2027.

DENVER – June 25, 2025 – Denver International Airport (DEN) is preparing for a busy travel period as the Fourth of July holiday approaches.
From Thursday, June 26, through Monday, July 7, more than 900,000 passengers are forecast to travel through DEN’s security checkpoints, which is approximately the same number of travelers during the same timeframe in 2024. The busiest travel day is estimated to be Sunday, July 6 with potentially more than 90,000 passengers screened per day. The travel days of June 26, June 27, June 29 and July 7 could also see more than 80,000 passengers screened per day.
Passengers are encouraged to arrive inside the airport at least two hours in advance of their boarding time to ensure they have plenty of time to check bags, travel through security and arrive at their gate. There is the potential for longer security lines, especially during peak times, which are 3. to 4:30 a.m., 8to 10 a.m. and 3. to 5 p.m.
By the end of this week, airline counters at the south end of Jeppesen Terminal will be in a temporary configuration down one level in the center of Level 5. These airlines will remain on Level 5 in their temporary operation through mid-2027. The counters serving DEN’s largest carriers – United Airlines (Terminal West), Southwest Airlines (Terminal East) and Frontier Airlines (Terminal East) – will remain at their current locations on Level 6. TSA
West Security Checkpoint (located on Level 6 at the northwest corner of the Terminal): Primary checkpoint for TSA PreCheck passengers, open 4 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
South Security Checkpoint (located on Level 5 at the South end of the Terminal): Primary checkpoint for standard screening, open 3 a.m. to 1 a.m. daily
TSA no longer operates Bridge Security
However, the A-Bridge and Ansbacher Hall remain open for arriving passengers and employees accessing the Airport Office Building between the hours of 4 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday =Thursday and access all day, Friday – Sunday.

Parking
Due to construction in West Economy Lot and West Garage Level 1, parking at DEN will be in high demand.
DEN is anticipating the Pikes Peak Lot to fill up on Thursday, July 3, at which point the Longs Peak Lot will open and will remain open until full. Once Longs Peak becomes full, the Landside Section A Shuttle Lot will be open for use.

Premium Reserve Parking: Reservations can be made for Premium Reserve Parking as early as 90 days in advance or as soon as five minutes in advance, depending on parking area capacity.
Reservations cost $45 a day with a one-time $5 service fee per reservation. Premium Reserve is conveniently located at Arrivals, on Level 4 East and West. Visit the reservation page.
Transit
Parking lots at DEN tend to fill up quickly during the holidays. Consider taking the RTD A-line into DEN. View the A-line schedule.
The Bustang Outrider Sterling route now provides Northeastern Coloradans another option to get to and from DEN. The route between Sterling and Denver runs Monday through Friday and stops at Gate 1 of the DEN Hotel Transit Center, near the RTD’s A Line train platform and other bus stops. The location provides quick access to the main terminal. The Outrider arrives at the airport at 9:35 a.m. and departs to Sterling at 3:07 p.m. View the Bustang Outrider Sterling- Denver schedule.
DEN Travel Assist
DEN Travel Assist, brought to you by Airport Butler, is a program designed to help travelers navigate DEN efficiently and with ease.
