Parking Lots and Availability

Garage East parking is located adjacent to the Jeppesen Terminal on the east side. Garage East has five levels and encompasses three separate modules which contain both covered and uncovered parking (atrium parking and level 5). Accessible parking is available on all levels except Level 3. A total of five designated hybrid vehicle parking and electric charging stations are available on Level 1, Rows E and F.

Overhead roadway signs on Peña Boulevard, and again at the entrance to the garage, indicate whether levels are open or full. Garage clearance is eight feet. There is no shuttle service in the garage.

A total of 15 hybrid vehicle parking spots/electric charging stations are available on Level 1, Rows E and F; five of these charging stations have “Level 1” chargers; 10 have the faster “Level 2” charging stations.

The East Economy Lot (and West Economy Lot) is located just beyond Garage East parking on the east side of Jeppesen Terminal. This lot is a popular choice for travelers who want to park within walking distance to the terminal, but wish to pay a more economical price.

Free shuttles pick-up departing passengers in the parking lot approximately every 10 minutes, 24 hours a day, from shelters located near the roadway/shuttle route. Shuttles will drop-off departing and pick-up arriving passengers at the DEN Transit Center.

The DEN Transit Center is located adjacent to the ground level of the Westin Denver International Airport and can be accessed at the south end of the Jeppesen Terminal: exit through the glass doors and take the escalator down to the ground level. Upon your return, shuttles will depart the DEN Transit Center approximately every 10 minutes.

Short Term East provides quick, convenient access to Jeppesen Terminal. It is located on the arrivals level (level 4) in Garage East. This covered parking location is ideal if you are meeting and greeting your relatives or friends, or dropping off an elderly parent or young child. Overnight parking is not allowed. Garage clearance is 8 feet.

DEN’s 61st and Peña parking lot is conveniently located on RTD’s University of Colorado A Line. This parking lot is managed by the City and County of Denver, Denver International Airport, not RTD. The only transportation service at this lot is RTD’s A Line commuter service (train). There are no shuttles or bus services from this location.

From this parking lot, the A Line commuter rail is available for $10.50 to the airport (transit time 11 minutes) or to Union Station and numerous stops along the way (see more A Line information at http://www.rtd-denver.com/fastracks/a-line).

The lot has 800 spaces total, of which 609 are beneath canopies that double as solar electric panels. The lot also has 11 electric vehicle charging stations (all Level 1 type units), free to use on a first-come, first-serve basis, located at the south and west sides of the lot. Handicapped spaces are located on the south and west sides of the lot, closest to the commuter train platform.

Tips and Parking Rates:

• When arriving at the lot, park your vehicle first – this ensures there is an available space prior to you paying. We do not give refunds for unused parking
• Parking is first-come, first-serve
• Parking availability is not guaranteed. This lot often reaches capacity during peak travel times
• Credit cards are the only acceptable form of payment and payment must be received on the identified Mobile Ap
• Rates are $5 per 12-hours, $7 per day

During peak travel times and holiday weeks check parking availability for all DEN parking lots on your day of travel.

Final Approach is the airport’s cell phone waiting lot located approximately three miles west of the Jeppesen Terminal. It can be easily accessed via eastbound Peña Boulevard to 75th Avenue and northbound Gun Club Road; westbound Peña Boulevard to Wenatchee Street; or from East 78th Avenue. Signs are posted along all access routes.

Wait in the Final Approach cell phone lot until your traveler is ready to be picked up (Arrivals, Level 4).

Please note there is no waiting allowed curbside or at the arrivals pickup area at the terminal.

The Cell Phone Waiting Lot is the ideal place to wait for a call from your traveler letting you know they are ready for pick up at Jeppesen Terminal. While waiting for that call, you can stretch your legs with a visit into the Final Approach facility (seating area is closed) to enjoy a bite to eat while keeping an eye on flight status monitors. This facility has public restrooms.

An alternative to waiting in the Cell Phone Lot is to park in Garage Parking for $5 an hour or in Short Term Parking for $6 an hour. For safety reasons vehicles are not allowed to park on Peña Blvd. or roadways leading to Jeppesen Terminal.

*Note: Baggage claim is on Level 5 of Jeppesen Terminal and does not have public vehicle access, so direct your party to Arrivals level 4. Vehicles are allowed to drive through and pick up passengers, but they may not park and wait at curbside. Any unattended vehicle will be towed immediately.
