DENVER – March 9, 2023 – More than 20 retail and restaurant opportunities will be rolled out within the next year, starting this summer, along with many other opportunities for new and existing businesses to work with Denver International Airport (DEN). To prepare those businesses, especially those with little to no experience working with the airport, DEN is hosting several outreach events and programs.

During this virtual networking event, small and local businesses will meet key representatives working at DEN and can utilize this opportunity to start building relationships.

ACDBE Workshop Series: Navigating the ACDBE Program

This series is for small businesses in the retail or food and beverage industry that want to learn how to work at DEN as a concessionaire. These virtual events bring together businesses interested in learning about the Airport Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) program and how to gain entry to the airport marketplace.

• March 16 – Nuts and Bolts of Certification
• May 18 – Joint Venture (JV) Requirements and Maintaining Compliance
• June 29 – Pathways to Entry for Concessions Overview of conducting business at DEN
• July 20 – Maintaining Your ACDBE Certification
• Sept. 21 – On-site Visit Process
• Nov. 16 – Navigating Business to Government (B2G) database

Taking Flight at DEN

During this event, attendees you can ask questions from DEN Project Managers and start building relationships with potential partners before the RFPs are released.

Business Diversity Summit

The Business Diversity Summit will help attendees build awareness and provide the tools necessary to implement and operationalize equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility (EDIA). Participants will learn about DEN’s EDIA initiatives, procurement process and how to engage with a diverse workforce.

Business leaders and community members can also signup to become a community panelist volunteer for a future procurement opportunity. This is a great opportunity, to gain an inside view of the evaluation review process and gain an understanding of what values are important to DEN.
