DENVER – Dec. 23, 2025 – The sculptures of two artists have been installed as part of DEN’s rotating sculpture program. Love Beacons by Pard Morrison and Nil Sine Numine by Jason Peters are located on Concourse B until June, 2026. The sculptures are meant to create a sense of place, elevate the customer experience and create a memorable impression for travelers and staff.
The rotating sculpture program is a public art incubator for artists in varying stages of their career to gain experience with the complexities of installing and displaying art in an airport environment. Rotating sculptures will biannually be selected through a competitive selection process for six-month rotations.
Love Beacons features three freestanding columns that are intended to embody Denver’s spirit of place through bold geometry and luminous color. Fabricated in aluminum with hand applied Tnemec Fluoronar surfaces, the columns merge painting and sculpture into resilient, architectural forms. Their stacked presence echoes the verticality of Denver’s skyline and mountains, while their vibrant palettes celebrate the city’s dynamic energy and cultural diversity. Installed together, they create a beacon-like landmark that aids wayfinding, offers moments of reflection, and delivers surprise and delight to travelers.
Nil Sine Numine is an installation made up of three and a half gallon buckets joined together to form flowing tubes that undulate like waves through space, tracing the movement of time and travel. Colors echo Colorado’s mountains, skies, and open horizons, while shifting light from windows and LED illumination transforms the piece from day to night. Its curves invite the eye to wander, mirroring the rhythm of travelers passing through the airport. Bold, dynamic, and ever-changing, the sculpture celebrates the spirit of Colorado, creating a memorable and uplifting experience for all who encounter it.
The next application cycle for DEN’s Rotating Sculpture Program will take place in early 2026.
