Youth students ages 7-16 participate in programming at Factory Fashion design, pattern, cut and sew runway quality looks that are styled and have shown and been photographed for Denver Fashion Week and the Paper Fashion Show.
Factory Fashion believes that “sewing a sustainable future” begins by reviving a passion for sewing through youth instruction. Students may explore dying fabrics as a means of rehydrating and upcycling clothing or working with non-traditional mediums.
In this exhibition, students explore the versatility of recycled paper. Origami techniques and sewing combine to create other worldly wearable designs.
