Barry Gutierrez is a Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist and commercial photographer based in Denver. His photography ranges from photojournalism to portraiture. He has created portraits of a number of presidents, including Barack Obama.
Craig Hospital is a world-renowned, premier center for specialty rehabilitation and research for people with spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury. Craig has a remarkable atmosphere and culture that is casual but professional, active and upbeat. They are a 93-bed inpatient/outpatient, nonprofit hospital that offers acute, short and long-term care.
“Redefining Possible” was a groundbreaking art exhibit at Denver International Airport (DEN) that featured portraits of 12 people living with spinal cord or brain injuries, as photographed by Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer Barry Gutierrez.
Craig Hospital and Barry Gutierrez created the “Redefining Possible” portrait series to showcase the power of the human spirit. The innovative portrait series featureed 12 people who have made remarkable strides after a catastrophic injury or illness.
