TRAFFIC ALERT: Outbound (leaving DEN) lanes of Peña Blvd. will be realigned to newly completed concrete pavement starting the night of Dec. 8. Traffic will experience single and double lane closures and detours. Traffic will be impacted during only overnight hours (11 p.m. to 6 a.m.) starting Dec. 8 at 11 p.m. Work is expected to conclude on Dec. 11 at 6 a.m. Dates and times are subject to change due to various factors including weather.

WOMEN’S CAUCUS FOR ART COLORADO
The Women’s Caucus for Art Colorado is a nonprofit arts organization dedicated to supporting and advancing women in the visual arts. The organization fosters advocacy, professional development, exhibition opportunities and community among women identifying artists across the state of Colorado. Through exhibitions, programming and collaborative initiatives, Women’s Caucus for Art Colorado promotes visibility, equity and leadership in the arts while encouraging dialogue, mentorship and connection within the creative community.
Dresses With Pockets is a curated exhibition of sculptural garments created by a collective of women artists. Each dress functions as a visual narrative, exploring identity, memory, labor, resilience and the unseen experiences women carry throughout their lives. The pocket becomes a central symbol, representing what is held privately, what is inherited and what is often overlooked.
The dresses are displayed as three-dimensional art objects, designed to be viewed in the round. This format allows each work to be experienced fully from every angle, emphasizing form, texture and story. Though unified by concept, each dress reflects the unique voice, background and material language of its artist, resulting in a diverse and layered installation.
The exhibition invites viewers to slow down within a space of movement and transition. In an environment defined by travel and passage, the work offers moments of pause and reflection. Each piece is paired with a QR code that connects directly to the artist’s voice, allowing visitors to hear personal stories behind the work. These digital narratives extend the physical exhibition into an intimate, spoken experience.
Together, the dresses form a collective portrait of women’s lived experiences, honoring strength, complexity, humor, vulnerability and transformation. The installation bridges fine art, craft and storytelling, creating an accessible and engaging experience for a wide public audience.
Dresses With Pockets celebrates the power of personal narrative and shared humanity through the language of wearable form.
