DEN Giveaway Official Rules

1. BINDING AGREEMENT: In order to enter the Sweepstakes, you (“Contestant”) must agree to these Official Rules (“Rules”). The Rules consist of the terms and conditions on this page. These Rules will form a legally binding agreement with respect to this Sweepstakes, please read them carefully. Contestants must agree to these Rules to be eligible for the Sweepstakes. Contestant agrees registration for this Sweepstakes and/or a submission of an entry in the Sweepstakes constitutes an agreement to these Rules.
2. ELIGIBILITY:To enter, Contestant must be a resident of the United States and at least eighteen (18) years of age. Contestants must submit contact information with entry in order to be eligible to try to win the giveaway. This Sweepstakes is void where prohibited. Employees (including without limitation, part-time, temporary, or volunteer employees) of the City and County of Denver (“City”), affiliated companies and immediate family are not eligible.
3. HOW TO ENTER/SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD:Instructions on how to participate in the Sweepstakes and submit an entry will be on the Website at www.flydenver.com/termsandconditions. Only Contestants meeting the eligibility standards may make entries to the Sweepstakes. The Sweepstakes begins at 8 a.m. Mountain Standard Time (MST) Monday, May 12, 2025 and closes at 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2025. Only one (1) entry per Contestant will be accepted. Email entries are prohibited. City accepts no responsibility for submissions lost, delayed, damaged, not received, or howsoever caused. All submissions will become the property of the City.

ENTRY INSTRUCTIONS:

• STEP 1: Follow Lufthansa and Denver International Airport on Instagram or Facebook.
• STEP 2. Comment on either the DEN Facebook post or Instagram post, tagging or mentioning the person you would like to travel to Munich with.
• That’s it! You and the person you have tagged/mentioned will be entered into the drawing.

4. CONSUMER DISCLOSURE: PRIZE: Prize includes:

 Two (2) roundtrip Lufthansa Economy Class tickets from Denver international Airport (DEN) to Munich Airport (MUC)

Total Value of All Prizes: Approximately $3,600 (“USD”)

All travel must be completed by September 30, 2025.

City will select one winner, through a random drawing upon conclusion of the Sweepstakes Period. City will notify the winner via telephone and/or email. The winner shall have seventy-two (72) hours to respond before an alternate winner is selected.

5. OTHER RULES AND INFORMATION: Odds of winning a prize are dependent on the number of entries received. An entry during the length of this contest makes a Contestant eligible for the prize drawing. The prize(s) may be awarded to the eligible winner(s) are not transferable, redeemable for cash or exchangeable for any other prize. Winner(s) must present state authorized identification prior to claiming the prize. Winner(s) must execute a waiver and release of liability as a condition of award of the prize.
6. SPONSOR:This Sweepstakes is sponsored by the City and County of Denver, by and through its Department of Aviation (“Sponsor”), a Municipal Corporation with a principal place of business at 8500 Pena Boulevard Denver, CO 80249.  Any questions, comments, or complaints regarding the promotion must be directed to Sponsor.
7. PRIVACY NOTICE:By participating in this Sweepstakes, Contestant agrees City can collect your personal information, and that if we cannot collect the required data, you may not be eligible to participate in the Contest. Any personal information collected during the course of the competition by City will be used for administering this Sweepstakes and for other purposes as outlined in these Rules. Contestants can request to have their information collected for the sweepstakes removed from any notification system by submitting such request in writing to DEN’s Global Marketing division. Contestants acknowledge City is subject to the provisions of the Colorado Open Records Act, Colorado Revised Statutes 24-72-201 et seq., and the Contestant agrees it will fully cooperate with City in an event of a request or a lawsuit arising under such act for the disclosure of any materials or information which the Contestant asserts is confidential and exempt from disclosure. Any other provision of this Agreement notwithstanding, including all attachments or other documents incorporated into this Agreement by reference, all materials, records and information provided by the Contestant to City shall be considered confidential by City only to the extent provided in the Open Records Act, and the Contestant agrees that any disclosure of information by City consistent with the provisions of the Open Records Act shall result in no liability of City.
8. MEDIA ACTIVITY:Except where prohibited, by participating in this Sweepstakes, you agree and hereby grant City permission to use, copy, modify and make available your submissions to the public for any purpose, such as, but not limited to, press and media communications, without further compensation to you. You also agree to participate in any media or promotional activity regarding the Sweepstakes. If you are a winner, you agree that City may use your name and likeness to administer and promote the Sweepstakes or Airport Services and to conduct media interviews and promotional events.
9. GENERAL CONDITIONS:This Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of City, the State of Colorado, and the United States of America. By entering the Sweepstakes, Contestant agrees to comply with all federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations, including DEN Rules and Regulations. By participating in this Sweepstakes, you agree to be bound by the terms of these Official Rules and by City’s decisions, which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to this Sweepstakes. Entries that are lost, late, misdirected, incorrect, garbled, or incompletely received, for any reason, including due to hardware, software, browser, or network failure, malfunction, or congestion, will not be eligible. City further reserves the right to cancel, terminate, or modify any promotion not capable of completion as planned. City reserves the right to disqualify any entry that fails to comply with these Official Rules, who attempts to enter the Sweepstakes in any manner or through any means other than those described, or who attempts to disrupt the Sweepstakes or to circumvent these Official Rules or commits fraud or submits false information. City reserves the right to update the Official Rules at any time and will do their best to keep Contestants informed of changes but it is ultimately the responsibility of each Contestant to be aware of any updates. No substitutions for prizes except by City, in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be substituted. Any Local, State, or Federal taxes are the sole responsibility of the Contest winner. Acceptance of prize constitutes consent to use winners’ names and likenesses for editorial and publicity purposes, without further compensation. Participation in this Sweepstakes constitutes agreement by Contestant to release and hold harmless Sponsor(s) (including but not limited to City) and any of its officers, employees, agents, successors and assigns and affiliates against any and all claims, losses, or liabilities arising out of or relating to participation in this Sweepstakes or use, misuse, or redemption of a prize. Winners will be chosen at random from the entries received.
10. INDEMNIFICATION AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: BY ENTERING THE SWEEPSTAKES, EACH CONTESTANT AGREES TO INDEMNIFY, RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS SPONSOR, ADMINISTRATOR, ADVERTISING AND PROMOTIONAL AGENCIES, AND ALL THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES AND AGENTS FROM ANY LIABILITY, DAMAGES, LOSSES OR INJURY RESULTING IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FROM THAT CONTESTANT’S PARTICIPATION IN THE SWEEPSTAKES AND THE ACCEPTANCE, USE OR MISUSE OF ANY PRIZE THAT MAY BE WON. SPONSOR DOES NOT MAKE ANY WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AS TO THE CONDITION, FITNESS OR MERCHANTABILITY OF THE PRIZE. SPONSOR, AND ALL ITS RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES AND AGENTS DISCLAIM ANY LIABILITY FOR DAMAGE TO ANY COMPUTER SYSTEM RESULTING FROM ACCESS TO OR THE DOWNLOAD OF INFORMATION OR MATERIALS CONNECTED WITH THE SWEEPSTAKES.

11. NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS SWEEPSTAKES.

12. ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Lufthansa will provide the winner with two (2) roundtrip Lufthansa Economy Class tickets from Denver International Airport (DEN) to Munich Airport (MUC) in Germany.

The flight tickets are limited to Economy class, and are subject to Lufthansa’s Conditions of Carriage.

All travel must be completed by September 30, 2025.

Terms and Conditions of Booking and Use of Lufthansa tickets 

1. Lufthansa shall provide Partner as full compensation for the Services provided pursuant to this Agreement one (1) set of roundtrip passenger tickets in premium economy class on LUFTHANSA operated aircraft only, for travel between DEN airport to destinations in Europe in Munich. All travel must be completed by September 30, 2025.

2. Provider shall designate, in writing, the persons that are eligible to utilize the LUFTHANSA tickets hereunder. Those designated persons shall be only persons entitled to utilize the LUFTHANSA tickets.

3. All costs associated with air transportation, other than the cost of the passenger ticket, including, without limitation, excess baggage, transportation fees, surcharges, or taxes are excluded and shall be the sole responsibility of the passenger utilizing the passenger tickets. Passenger tickets issued pursuant to this Agreement shall not accrue any mileage in any frequent flyer program.

4. Passenger tickets issued under this Agreement may only be utilized for air transportation exclusively on Lufthansa aircraft and routes and must be utilized within one year of execution of this document. In the event that passenger tickets are not issued or if the air transportation services are not fully utilized within the one-year deadline, the remaining obligations of each party shall be foregone. No validity extensions will be granted.

5. Provider agrees that no other form of compensation may be demanded for the Services with respect to any obligation arising by virtue of this Agreement.

6. Each party shall keep accounting records with respect to the passenger tickets issued under this Agreement. Lufthansa tickets shall be requested and issued by the LUFTHANSA internal travel department, please contact [email protected].

7. No agent may be involved in the issuance of tickets or the booking of air transportation arising out of this Agreement.

8. The air transportation services rendered pursuant to this Agreement are subject to the conditions of carriage of LUFTHANSA.

9. Passenger tickets issued pursuant to this Agreement may not be assigned, transferred, endorsed to another carrier, sold, redeemed, or exchanged. Passenger tickets have no cash surrender value.
