Home

DENVER – Nov. 19, 2019 – Denver International Airport (DEN) marked 24 months of consecutive monthly passenger traffic records with the busiest September in Denver aviation history. Nearly 11 percent more passengers moved through the airport than in September 2018. In total, DEN hosted 5,960,686 passengers in September.

DEN’s September international passenger traffic increased nearly seven percent over September 2018, totaling 241,662 passengers to rank as the busiest September ever for international passenger traffic. International capacity increased by less than one percent for the month, indicating a strong increase in international load factors.

DEN’s September cargo volume increased over three percent compared to September 2018 as UPS and Atlas Air primarily led the cargo carriers in increased totals. Some commercial passenger carriers, such as United and Southwest, also saw large increases in cargo operations.

Through the first three quarters of 2019, DEN’s passenger traffic is 7.4 percent higher than the same period in 2018. The complete September 2019 traffic report is available at www.flydenver.com/about/financials/passenger_traffic
