Home

DENVER – July 14, 2023 – Swifties here, there and everywhere! With summer events well underway, like this weekend’s Taylor Swift and NHRA Mile High Nationals, among others, Denver International Airport (DEN) is projecting a high volume of travelers to pass through TSA security checkpoints starting on Friday, July 14 through Monday, July 17. The highest projected day during this weekend is Sunday with potentially 90,000 travelers passing through DEN security checkpoints.

For those traveling through DEN, we thank them for their patience and remind them to arrive at the airport early to give themselves plenty of time to get through security and navigate the airport before your flight.

Tips for a smooth traveling experience:

  • Be prepared for a high volume of travelers and arrive in the airport a MINIMUM of two hours before your flight’s boarding time.
  • Keep an eye on the weather and check your flight status regularly.
  • Check real-time parking availability at www.flydenver.com/parking-and-transportation/parking-lots/
  • Ditch the car and take the RTD A Line. RTD is offering Zero Fare during July and August.
  • Check with your airline to confirm that your flight is on time and check-in online if possible.
  • Check real-time TSA security wait times and identify the best checkpoint. Passengers can check these at FlyDenver.com.
  • Passengers can reach out to DEN’s customer service team by calling (720) 730-IFLY (4359) or texting (720) 902-9351. Passengers can also click the “Chat” button on FlyDenver.com to connect with one of our agents via chat between the hours of 6 a.m. and 11 p.m. daily.
  • While at DEN, take advantage of a new dining and shopping loyalty program. Through DENPerks passengers can earn cash back, gift cards and airline miles or points when they shop and dine at more than 2,500 participating airport locations. To learn more, visit DENPerks.com.
