DENVER – July 22, 2021 – SweetWater Brewing Company, one of the largest craft brewers in the U.S., has officially opened its doors at Denver International Airport (DEN).
The brewery is based in Atlanta, Georgia and has expanded out west, landing on Concourse B near Gate B80. But SweetWater isn’t far from home at DEN. Founder Freddy Bensch began his brewing career washing kegs at the University of Colorado Boulder at Boulder Brewing Company.
“Adding another brewery to DEN’s beer scene further stamps our state’s love for craft beer,” said Senior Vice President of Concessions Pam Dechant. “SweetWater Mountain Taphouse is a great addition to our brewery line-up, and we’re happy to have them onboard.”
SweetWater Mountain Taphouse offers passengers a lengthy beer selection and bar eats including burgers, salads and wings. The restaurant is open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
SweetWater is operated by Concessions International. DEN is SweetWater’s second airport bar location – their first is their hometown airport, Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
Denver International Airport is one of the busiest airports in the world. DEN is the primary economic engine for the state of Colorado, generating more than $36 billion for the region annually.
