DENVER – May 2, 2016 – Sun Country Airlines today began daily, nonstop service from Denver to the airline’s hometown market of Minneapolis/St. Paul.

With the addition of Denver, Sun Country Airlines will serve a total of 36 destinations throughout the year. Denver passengers flying via the airline to Minneapolis/St. Paul will also be able to connect to Boston, Washington D.C., and New York City (JFK).

“Sun Country’s service capitalizes on the already strong demand for travel between Denver and Minneapolis/St. Paul,” said Denver International Airport CEO Kim Day. “In fact, the Mile High City ranks as the top destination for travel from the Twin Cities. We are excited to welcome Sun Country to Denver and offer our travelers an ever growing number of airline options.”

“We’re delighted to be able to offer our customers nonstop service to Denver,” said Zarir Erani, president and CEO of Sun Country Airlines. “Our hometown shares so much of the culture and spirit that makes Denver a great city, so it’s natural for the Twin Cities’ airline to serve Denver International Airport. Denver makes for a perfect addition to our roster of year-round destinations.”

The daily flight is scheduled to depart Minneapolis at 10:20 a.m., arriving in Denver at 11:25 a.m., with the returning flight departing Denver at 12:15 p.m., arriving in Minneapolis at 3:10 p.m. (all local times).
