DENVER – Jan. 8, 2019 – More than 5.2 million passengers traveled through Denver International Airport (DEN) in November 2018, making it the busiest November in Denver aviation history. The month marked the 14th consecutive month of record-breaking passenger traffic.
November passenger traffic increased by 7.4 percent from 2017 to 2018. From December 2017 to November 2018, 64.2 million passengers passed through DEN – more passengers than at any other 12-month timeframe in the airport’s history.
During the month, Frontier added service to Harlingen, Texas, a previously unserved destination from DEN. This is one of the more than 20 previously unserved destinations that DEN added to its network in 2018. Additionally, Frontier’s network expansion from Denver during the off-peak winter season contributed to the increased passenger traffic.
Cargo volume also increased in the month of November. Total cargo volume increased nearly seven percent compared to November 2017.
