TRAVEL ALERT: Jackson Gap and 75th Ave. Detours

The existing off-ramp from inbound Peña Blvd. to Jackson Gap is closed for construction. While a temporary off-ramp is available, construction activity may cause travel impacts. Drivers on Jackson Gap will not be able to travel westbound on E 75th Ave. to the Pikes Peak shuttle lot. Detours are in place.

TRAVEL ALERT: Peña Blvd. Single Lane Closure

Single lane closures are expected on outbound Peña Boulevard (leaving DEN) from both east and west terminal from 11 p.m. on Tuesday 10/29 through 6 a.m. on Wednesday 10/30 and again from 11 p.m. on Saturday 11/2 to 6 a.m. on Sunday 11/3. These closures will allow for roadway restriping and removal of roadside construction barrier.

Music is in the Air as DEN Kicks Off Its 2017 Events Series with a FREE Jazz Concert

Location Moved to Jeppesen Terminal Due To Weather Conditions

DENVER – May 19, 2017 – Today, Denver International Airport (DEN) kicks-off its ‘Events at DEN’ series with a FREE jazz concert from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., which is being held in conjunction with the annual Five Points Jazz Festival in Denver. Due to inclement weather, the concert has been moved to a seating area on the west side of level 6 in the Jeppesen Terminal between the post office and Caribou coffee.

The jazz concert will feature three of the most well-known Jazz acts in Colorado: Dotsero, the Mary Louise Lee Band and the Hazel Miller Band. Dotsero will kick off the concert at 2 p.m., followed by the Mary Louise Lee Band at 4 p.m. and the Hazel Miller Band at 6 p.m.

The jazz concert is the first of several events that will take place at DEN this year. All the events feature offerings unique to an airport as well as events that connect visitors with major happenings in and around the Denver community, including local art and music.

Upcoming Events (Additional details will be made available ahead of each event.)

  • June 1 – 30 – Putt-Putt on the Plaza: Back for a second year, DEN presents a custom, sponsor-themed 18-hole miniature golf course. The course will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. Participants simply provide an ID at the onsite “DEN Clubhouse” in exchange for a putter, golf ball and scorecard. In addition, on June 16 and 17, you can join us at our VIP lounge on the plaza to watch the U.S. Open and test your own skills on the DEN course.
  • August 1 – 20 – Colorado Adventures: The DEN Plaza will be transformed into a variety of Colorado adventure activities for the whole family. The activities include a zip-line, rock climbing wall and virtual fly fishing experience. The activities will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
  • Sept. 28 – Oct. 9 – 4th Annual Beer Flights: This popular event brings a taste of Colorado brews to the airport and coincides with worldwide Oktoberfest celebrations and the Great American Beer Festival in Denver. The beer garden is open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. with happy hour entertainment performances daily 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Admission includes a souvenir glass to taste your samples.
  • Nov. 24 – Jan. 7 – Ice Skating Rink: Back for a second year, our free ice skating rink will be on the DEN Plaza for everyone to enjoy daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. This year’s rink will be bigger and will be accompanied by a variety of entertainment and family-friendly music playing in the background.
