The iconic, locally owned Little Man Ice Cream has officially opened for business inside Denver International Airport (DEN) on Concourse C. The most recent restaurant addition to DEN concessions serves passengers unexpected treats that will surely sweeten their travels.
“Little Man Ice Cream is a name Denverites know and love,” said DEN CEO Kim Day. “We are excited to help Little Man Ice Cream introduce their flavors to the world.”
In addition to the delicious treats Little Man is known for including home-made ice cream, sorbet, vegan flavors and their iconic ice cream “Sammie’s,” the airport location offers several boozy options, such as Strawberry Margarita Freeze, Whiskey Apple Pie and Oreo Java Spiced Rum. Travelers can also try the Illuminati Shake, an ode to the conspiracies surrounding DEN.
“We are so proud to be embarking on this adventure at Denver International Airport. The excitement of welcoming a loved one home or the wonder of travel to places unknown is at the heart and soul of an airport. Sharing that joyful experience is what Little Man is all about,” said Paul Tamburello, owner of Little Man Ice Cream. “As our brand continues to expand, we look forward to making the travelers’ journey a little bit sweeter.”
The popular ice cream shop was brought to DEN by Tastes 5280, a joint venture between local ACDBE (Airport Concessionaire Disadvantaged Business Enterprise), Innovative Retail Group, and Tastes on the Fly Restaurant Group.
“I’m excited to bring the city’s freshest and tastiest homemade ice cream to Denver International Airport,” said Huy Pham, President and CEO of Innovative Retail Group and Tastes 5280 partner. “Having worked my way up from various concessionaires at DEN in 2001, to becoming an ACDBE, and now a successful owner/operator, this is a dream come true!”
Little Man Ice Cream is located near Gate C27 and will be open daily from 6 a.m.-9 p.m.
