DENVER – Aug. 13, 2025 – Fitch Ratings recently affirmed the AA- rating of DEN’s $3.9 billion senior airport revenue bonds and affirmed the A+ rating of DEN’s $3.1 billion subordinate lien bonds. Fitch also affirmed that DEN’s bonds continue to have a “positive outlook” that reflects strong financial performance.
“Our continued strong passenger growth at DEN, along with our ability to complete major projects on time and maintain and exceed our financial metrics target, allows DEN to be in a solid position as we prepare to welcome 100 million annual passengers. A special thanks to our partners at the Denver Department of Finance for their partnership,” DEN CEO Phil Washington said.
Fitch’s justification stated that the ratings reflect DEN’s “strong operational characteristics including its status as one of the world’s busiest airports, benefitting from its strategic location as a connecting hub within the large, diverse and growing Denver region.” Other key areas of strength noted in their justification were a strong pricing framework under long-term agreements with the leading air carriers and DEN’s historically strong financial metrics.
