DENVER – June 22, 2017 – Denver International Airport (DEN) is partnering with the Dumb Friends League to create a new temporary art exhibit featuring a variety of animal-related services, including pet adoption information, to help educate travelers. The display cases are located at the northeast end of the Jeppesen Terminal on Level 5, through November.
Founded in 1910, the Dumb Friends League is the region’s largest community-based animal welfare organization and has achieved one of the highest placement rates for homeless pets in the country. Exhibit display cases artfully highlight important services the Dumb Friends League offers, such as pet adoption, equine adoption, animal protection and spay/neuter services. The unique and educational exhibit celebrates one of Colorado’s compassionate non-profit organizations.

About DEN’s Art and Culture Program
DEN’s Art and Culture Program administers the City and County of Denver’s “one percent for art” ordinance which enhances public places and features nearly 40 site-specific works including sculptures, murals and other installations. The pieces are displayed in outdoor landscapes, inside Jeppesen Terminal and on airport concourses, as well as in the train tunnels and on the train itself. In addition to its permanent art collection, DEN curates temporary exhibitions, collaborating with museums, cultural institutions and arts organizations to present the highest quality two- and threedimensional work.
