Jackson Gap and 75th Ave. Detours

Starting Sept. 22, the existing off-ramp from inbound Peña to Jackson Gap will be closed for construction. While a temporary off-ramp is available, construction activity in the area will cause travel impacts. Also, westbound traffic on 75th from Jackson Gap is prohibited. Detour routes will be in place and signs will be posted.

DIA Presents Wintertainment this Holiday Season

DENVER — Dec. 9, 2013 —Denver International Airport (DIA) is proud to present seasonal live “Wintertainment” in Jeppesen Terminal, featuring carolers and instrumental holiday music Dec. 14-24, and world music Dec. 26-30.

“We are again partnering with Denver Arts & Venues and the Denver Theatre District to provide live performances of classic holiday favorites and world seasonal music in the Jeppesen Terminal,” said Manager of Aviation Kim Day. “We hope this will enhance the holiday travel experience for our passengers and those picking up friends and loved ones.”

Dates: Dec. 14-24 and Dec. 26-30

Times: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. each day

Location: Jeppesen Terminal Level 5

Producers: Denver Arts & Venues/Denver Theatre District

On Dec. 14-24, nearly two dozen local Colorado musicians will perform traditional holiday music in Jeppesen Terminal. A Yamaha C7 Baby Grand piano (donated by Woods and Son Piano Co.) will be the centerpiece of the stage on level 5 of Jeppesen Terminal where musicians such as Joshua Davis, M.Florea, and Chris Heckman will perform classic holiday piano standards. Original Dickens Carolers will serenade travelers throughout Jeppesen Terminal, and each day travelers will be able to see a mix of local up-and-coming, student, and established musicians, from the jazz trumpet of Joshua Trinidad to holiday bluegrass of Nick Amodeo and Friends.

On Dec. 26-30, the stage in the Great Hall will host world music. DIA will be celebrating the music of Latin America, Germany, Japan, England, the Middle East, the Caribbean and many others regions of the world.
