Starting Dec. 9, 2024, TSA will no longer operate Bridge Security on a regular basis. A-Bridge and Ansbacher Hall will remain open for arriving passengers and employees accessing the Airport Office Building. Departing travelers must use West Security Checkpoint or South Security Checkpoint.

The existing off-ramp from inbound Peña Blvd. to Jackson Gap is closed for construction. While a temporary off-ramp is available, construction activity may cause travel impacts. Drivers on Jackson Gap will not be able to travel westbound on E 75th Ave. to the Pikes Peak shuttle lot. Detours are in place.

A-Bridge and Ansbacher Hall will be closed for overnight construction activities from 6 p.m. to 4 a.m., Monday through Thursday nights, through the opening of the East Checkpoint in Q3 2025. During closures, all travelers must use concourse trains to journey to and from the Terminal.

DENVER — April 10, 2014 — Denver International Airport is giving the public an inside look at the new Hotel and Transit Center construction site with the launch of monthly public tours. DIA will kick off the public tours this Saturday, April 12, during this year’s Doors Open Denver.
“Curious onlookers have been watching the Hotel and Transit Center rise from the south side of Jeppesen Terminal for months and we’re finally at a point in the construction that allows us the opportunity to give the public a preview of this great new amenity at DIA,” said Hotel and Transit Center Program Manager Stu Williams. “We’re excited to give the public a first-hand look at the progress on the program.”
Public tours of the Hotel and Transit Center site will be held on the third Saturday of each month throughout the summer. Tours are limited to a maximum number of 15 people and are only open to those ages 18 and older. Guides will treat participants to a 45-minute hard hat tour of the new public plaza and hotel building. Because construction of the program is constantly evolving, each tour will be unique.
People interested in touring the Hotel and Transit Center site may sign up at www.flydenver.com by clicking on “Hotel and Transit Center” in the left menu, selecting the Public Tours option and choosing a preferred tour date. Once a tour date is full, people will no longer be able to register for that date. Since this is an active construction site, guests must wear pants that cover the ankle, shirts with long sleeves and boots that cover the ankle. Please no high heels or open-toed shoes. Guests will be required to wear the provided safety gear on-site including a hard hat, vest, boots, safety glasses and gloves.
Tours of the Hotel and Transit Center site during Doors Open Denver on April 12 will be held at 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Those interested in attending should pick up free tour tickets the day of the event at the Doors Open Denver event headquarters located at 1801 California Street beginning at 7:30 a.m. Tickets are on a first-come first-serve basis. DIA will also provide tours of the airport’s nationally recognized public art collection during Doors Open Denver on April 12 at 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
The Hotel and Transit Center Program will complete the original vision for the airport and is the first investment in DIA’s Airport City initiative. The program is made up of independent, yet physically integrated projects including the design and construction of a 519-room Westin hotel and conference center, a new transit center serving all Regional Transportation District buses and the new East Rail Line, and a public plaza which will be Denver’s newest venue for arts, entertainment and relaxation.
The hotel will be owned by DIA and operated by Westin and is on schedule to open in 2015. The RTD East Rail Line, which will connect DIA to downtown Denver’s Union Station in approximately 35 minutes, is scheduled to begin operations in 2016.
