Short-term parking on Level 4 of both East and West Garages will be relocated from Sept. 16 - 18 for power washing. Any remaining vehicles in the area will be relocated to the surface lot adjacent to the southwest corner of East Garage and West Garage.

DENVER – March 18, 2016 – For the fourth year in a row, Denver International Airport (DEN) will participate in the worldwide celebration of Earth Hour on Saturday, March 19 by turning off for one hour the illuminated airport sign along Peña Boulevard, as well as the lights on the airport’s iconic “Mustang” statue.
The airport will first turn the LED sign along eastbound/inbound Peña Boulevard green, from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., in a symbolic expression of Denver’s efforts to work toward a greener city and planet. The sign, along with the lights that illuminate the “Mustang” statue, will be turned off entirely from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in celebration of Earth Hour. The airport is also encouraging its employees to turn off non-essential lights during Earth Hour.
“One of our strategic priorities at Denver International Airport is to focus on the environmental, social and financial benefits of operating the nation’s largest airport in a sustainable manner,” said Scott Morrissey, DEN’s acting senior director for sustainability. “Earth Hour creates international awareness about climate change, and represents a small symbol of our ongoing efforts to reduce costs by systematically integrating energy reduction strategies into every aspect of our operations.”
The Earth Hour event will not affect operations at the airport, and the lights will be turned back on at the conclusion of the hour.
