Two construction projects will impact traffic to and from Denver International Airport (DEN) this week.

Inbound Peña Blvd. lanes (heading to DEN) between Tower Rd. & the RTD bridge will be restored to their pre-existing, permanent alignment. A right inbound lane closure will be in effect from approximately 8 p.m. on May 28 to 4 a.m. on May 29. Additionally, crews will replace a damaged overhead electronic message board sign on May 28 and 29 on outbound Peña Blvd. (leaving DEN). Work is expected to start around 10 p.m. on May 28 and finish around 4 a.m. on May 29, and again around 10 p.m. on May 29 to 4 a.m. on May 30. At approximately 1 a.m., between Tower Road and E 56th Avenue, a slow rolling closure of Peña Boulevard traffic will be implemented for less than 10 minutes. Speeds will be significantly reduced. Crews will be transporting and setting bridge girders on E-470 over outbound Peña Blvd. (leaving DEN) between 11 p.m. on May 30 until 6 a.m. on May 31. Between Jackson Gap Street and E-470, approximately once every hour, slow, rolling closures of Peña will be implemented for approximately seven minutes. Speeds will be significantly reduced during this time.

Denver International Airport Shops and Restaurants Providing Customer Appreciation ‘Summer Travel Packs’

Home

DENVER — July 24, 2015 — With summer travel in full swing, retail shop, restaurant and services owners at Denver International Airport (DIA) are offering up a free Summer Travel Pack as a way of saying “thank you” to loyal travelers and airport customers.

Beginning today, travelers who are at least 18 years old and who spend $20 or more at participating DIA retailers will receive a free summer travel pack valued at up to $16. Packs will include travel-related comfort items such as lip balm, hand sanitizer, wet wipes, tissues, headphones, neck pillows, eye masks and more.

“As a group, we wanted to reach out and say ‘thank you’ to our summer travelers who come through this airport throughout the year, but especially at this time of year,” said Colleen Forst, president of the DIA Concessionaires Association. “We know that when traveling in the summer with family or groups people may forget to pack a few of those extra comfort items that make the trip that much more smooth. This is a great way for the retailers to say thank you and help make travel that much more comfortable for our most loyal customers.”

To receive a free summer travel pack, customers simply present their original receipt from participating vendors to a store representative. Travel packs will be distributed to qualifying purchasers while supplies last.

For more information on the summer travel pack giveaway, and a complete list of rules, visit: http://www.DENsummer.com. Customers are being asked to share their summer travel stories on social media using #DENSummer.
