Starting Sept. 22, the existing off-ramp from inbound Peña to Jackson Gap will be closed for construction. While a temporary off-ramp is available, construction activity in the area will cause travel impacts. Also, westbound traffic on 75th from Jackson Gap is prohibited. Detour routes will be in place and signs will be posted.

DENVER – Aug. 8, 2019 – Denver International Airport (DEN) has wrapped up the busiest first half of the year in its history, with more than 6.3 million travelers passing through the airport in June 2019. With 32.7 million passengers for the first half of 2019, passenger traffic at DEN for the first half of 2019 is up 6.1 percent over 2018.
“During the first half of this year, Denver International Airport added new-carrier service to more than 30 destinations, including 14 brand-new nonstop destinations,” said DEN CEO Kim Day. “We’re delighted to see continued growth and success of our airline partners that in turn are providing more and more options for people to travel to, through and from Denver.”
The growth in the airport’s passenger traffic for the month of June is an 8.2 percent increase over June 2018 and currently stands as the busiest month in DEN aviation history. It is estimated that 26 days in June broke the previous busiest-day-ever record, set in July 2018 at just over 207,000 passengers.
June also broke the record for origin-destination traffic in a single month, with over 4.1 million people beginning or ending their travels in Denver. Ten new routes were inaugurated in June, including two new destinations: Eureka, California (ACV) and Fairbanks, Alaska (FAI).
In June, 54,591,093 pounds of cargo passed through DEN, up nearly 10 percent over June 2018.
