Home

DENVER – June 8, 2020 – The COVID-19 pandemic and the need for social distancing has changed the daily lives of Coloradans. Denver International Airport (DEN) is looking for photographers to share their images for DEN’s first virtual-focused exhibit, Colorado from a Distance.

Submissions should showcase positive interpretations of daily life, solutions for distantly celebrated special occasions, uplifting contact with loved ones or maintaining a sense of community in a unique and safe way.

The juried exhibit will capture the creative and inspiring ways people have stayed connected during trying times. Entering the juried competition is free. Photographers must be Colorado residents and may only submit one photo. Approximately 50 images will be curated into the virtual exhibit.

Submissions must contain a photo, 5 MB or less, and a completed entry form. All submissions must be sent to [email protected] by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2020. Learn more at www.flydenver.com/about/art_culture/virtual_programming

About DEN’s Arts Program

The DEN Arts Program administers the City and County of Denver’s “one percent for art” ordinance that enhances public places and features nearly 40 site-specific works including sculptures, murals and other installations. The pieces are displayed in outdoor landscapes, inside Jeppesen Terminal and on airport concourses, as well as in the train tunnels and on the train itself. In addition to its permanent art collection, DEN curates temporary exhibitions, collaborating with museums, cultural institutions and arts organizations to present the highest quality two- and three-dimensional work.
