DENVER – April 8, 2026 – DEN has been awarded the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for its 2024 Annual Comprehensive Financial Report. This is the airport’s sixth consecutive year to receive this recognition.
“We are so pleased to be recognized by the GFOA for the sixth consecutive year. This achievement reflects our commitment to transparency, accuracy, and accountability in our financial practice and is a testament to the DEN Finance team, who maintain a high standard for the organization and for the reporting of the airport’s finances,” DEN CEO Phil Washington said.
The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting. The high standards for the program include demonstrating a “constructive spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate the airport’s annual financial results. According to the GFOA, the attainment of the Certificate of Achievement, “represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.”
