Short-term parking on Level 4 of both East and West Garages will be relocated from Sept. 16 - 18 for power washing. Any remaining vehicles in the area will be relocated to the surface lot adjacent to the southwest corner of East Garage and West Garage.

DENVER – Aug. 30, 2023 – Denver International Airport (DEN), in partnership with the Denver Police Department (DPD), is implementing new measures to address auto and catalytic converter thefts within the airport’s parking lots. DEN’s new comprehensive strategy includes a range of action items that enhance security measures and collaboration with DPD to ensure the safety and peace of mind for travelers, visitors and employees.
“Our commitment to the safety and security of our passengers, staff and their belongings is unwavering,” DEN CEO Phil Washington said. “DEN’s multifaceted strategy is a testament to our dedication to providing a safe environment within our parking lots. Through collaboration with law enforcement agencies and innovative security measures, we are taking proactive steps to minimize auto thefts and damages.”
From January 1 to July 31 of this year, 378 vehicles were reported stolen from DEN parking lots, during which, more than seven million vehicles have parked at DEN’s 51,000 parking spaces, which encompasses 53 square miles. While the vast amount of space may provide opportunities for thieves, DEN and DPD remain committed to reducing auto and catalytic converter thefts through the following strategies:
