DENVER – Dec. 20, 2021 – Today, Denver International Airport (DEN) celebrated the grand opening of Caribou Coffee, the first concession built as part of the Great Hall Project. Caribou is a welcomed sight to early morning and late-night travelers, with a menu that features handcrafted beverages including hot and iced teas, nitro cold brew coffee on tap, ice cream and all-day food items.
“We’re happy to welcome a much-anticipated coffee addition to the Great Hall, just in time for Christmas,” said DEN CEO Phil Washington. “Mission Yogurt is a longtime partner of DEN, and the Caribou brand is one that passengers always enjoy.”
Caribou in the Great Hall was brought to DEN by Mission Yogurt, Denver-local Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE). Mission Yogurt was founded by Rod Tafoya in 1988 and has been a concessionaire at DEN since 1995.
“We’re excited to bring Caribou Coffee to travelers as part of the Great Hall Phase 1 completion and proud to be among the first concessions to serve DEN passengers in the beautiful new Great Hall,” said Rod Tafoya, president and owner of Mission Yogurt, Inc.
Caribou Coffee is located in the terminal on Level 6 near Southwest’s spacious new ticketing area. Beginning in early January, Caribou Coffee will open at 4 a.m. for those early risers and close at 8 p.m. Until then, their hours will be 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
In celebration of their grand opening, Caribou Coffee’s Great Hall location is offering travelers $1 off a large beverage of their choice through Dec. 26.
