CHECKPOINT ALERT: Bridge Security

Starting Dec. 9, 2024, TSA will no longer operate Bridge Security on a regular basis. A-Bridge and Ansbacher Hall will remain open for arriving passengers and employees accessing the Airport Office Building. Departing travelers must use West Security Checkpoint or South Security Checkpoint.

TRAVEL UPDATE: Jackson Gap & 75th Ave. Detours

The existing off-ramp from inbound Peña Blvd. to Jackson Gap is closed for construction. While a temporary off-ramp is available, construction activity may cause travel impacts. Drivers on Jackson Gap will not be able to travel westbound on E 75th Ave. to the Pikes Peak shuttle lot. Detours are in place.

WAYFINDING: Changes to A-Bridge/ Ansbacher Hall

A-Bridge and Ansbacher Hall will be closed for overnight construction activities from 6 p.m. to 4 a.m., Monday through Thursday nights, through the opening of the East Checkpoint in Q3 2025. During closures, all travelers must use concourse trains to journey to and from the Terminal.

Denver International Airport Celebrates the Opening of Aviano Coffee, El Chingon Bistro and Mizu Sushi-Izakaya on Concourse B

DENVER – Aug. 27, 2024— Denver International Airport (DEN) celebrated the opening of Aviano Coffee, El Chingon Bistro and Mizu Sushi-Izakaya on Concourse B-West today. These are the first restaurants to open in the new Concourse B-West expansion area.

“I’m proud that local Denver businesses get to be on our airport’s international stage, giving close to 80 million travelers the chance to experience all our city has to offer,” Denver Mayor Mike Johnston said. “Whether passing through or coming home, we hope you enjoy our world class airport with incredible local cuisine, local vendors and talented entrepreneurs.”

Airport and city officials were on hand to celebrate the opening, pointing to the benefits of the new arrivals to DEN as it preps to welcome more passengers in the coming years.

“As DEN continues to grow, we must also be continually planning for the expansion of our dine-shop-retail options to accommodate and prepare for 100 million annual passengers,” DEN CEO Phil Washington said. “We are thrilled to introduce new, local dining options to our passengers in one of our newest gate expansion areas.”

The world-class design of the marketplace will enhance the food and beverage program on Concourse B with these three Denver brands: Aviano Coffee, El Chingon Bistro and Mizu Sushi-Izakaya.

“Taste on the Fly and Paradies Lagardère are honored to bring these stellar local concepts to DEN,” Taste on the Fly Co-Founder Michael Levine said. “We are excited and proud to partner with the DEN concessions team in bringing these exceptional concepts to Denver International Airport.”

El Chingon Bistro is a local, family-owned business that has been serving Mexican cuisine along the Front Range since 2010. Its owner and operator, Lorenzo Nunez Jr., said, “It has been an honor to serve our local community with an incredible opportunity to serve a global demographic at DEN. We are so proud to be included with not only this fantastic select group of Mizu Sushi-Izakaya and Aviano, but with all our DEN partners. We hope to make DEN and the community proud.”

Mizu Sushi-Izakaya has been a locally owned and operated business in Denver since 2016. “We love the experience we have created in LoHi and are excited to bring that same experience to DEN,” Hong Li, President and Founder of Mizu Sushi-Izakaya, Lychen II Inc., said.

This will be Aviano Coffee’s third location, but its first in the airport. We are incredibly humbled by the opportunity to share Aviano with the world,” Juan Padro, Founder and CEO of Culinary Creative Group, said. “DEN has cemented itself as one of the top airports globally and it’s our privilege to be a part of this project with Mizu Sushi-Izakaya and El Chingon, two iconic Denver brands.”

The three new food and beverage outposts are operated by Innovative Retail Group, a certified Airport Concession Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) that now has 15 locations at DEN.
