Starting Dec. 9, 2024, TSA will no longer operate Bridge Security on a regular basis. A-Bridge and Ansbacher Hall will remain open for arriving passengers and employees accessing the Airport Office Building. Departing travelers must use West Security Checkpoint or South Security Checkpoint.

The existing off-ramp from inbound Peña Blvd. to Jackson Gap is closed for construction. While a temporary off-ramp is available, construction activity may cause travel impacts. Drivers on Jackson Gap will not be able to travel westbound on E 75th Ave. to the Pikes Peak shuttle lot. Detours are in place.

A-Bridge and Ansbacher Hall will be closed for overnight construction activities from 6 p.m. to 4 a.m., Monday through Thursday nights, through the opening of the East Checkpoint in Q3 2025. During closures, all travelers must use concourse trains to journey to and from the Terminal.

DENVER – June 4, 2018 – Today, Denver International Airport (DEN) welcomed a new foreign-flag carrier, Edelweiss/SWISS, by celebrating the inaugural nonstop flight between Denver and Zurich, Switzerland (ZRH). This flight is DEN’s fourth new international airline and seventh new international destination since January 2017.
“Denver is experiencing tremendous international growth in both the number of destinations offered nonstop and the number of passengers served,” said Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock. “We are excited that Edelweiss is adding this direct connection to Zurich that will further strengthen our economy by creating nearly 200 new jobs and generating more than $21 million in annual economic impact.”
Edelweiss’ new seasonal nonstop service will operate twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays, through September 21, using Airbus A330-300 aircraft with 315 seats. Edelweiss Business Class is equipped with 27 fully lie-flat seats and a state-of-the-art inflight entertainment system with HD touchscreens. Economy Max encompasses 56 comfortable seats with 6 inches more legroom, more recline and many other amenities. The 232 seats in Economy Class provide for a relaxing flight and offer an inflight entertainment system that also features HD touchscreens.
“We are happy to announce that Denver is now directly linked with Zurich,” said Edelweiss CEO Bernd Bauer. “We are even more pleased that we can accompany many American guests on their holidays to Switzerland, and welcome them on board with excellent food and hospitality.”
Nearly 35,000 passengers currently travel between Denver and Switzerland each year, with heavier traffic in the popular summer season. As well as opening Denver to Swiss and other European visitors, the new route offers a convenient nonstop flight for travellers from DEN to the heart of Europe, with many onward flight options from Zurich to other European cities through the network provided by Swiss International Air Lines.
“Zurich ranks as Denver’s largest market in Switzerland, and nearly 100 people travel between Colorado and Switzerland every day,” said DEN CEO Kim Day. “We are excited to add this cosmopolitan city to our growing international air service network portfolio, and are especially looking forward to welcoming Swiss visitors to explore all that the Mile High City and Centennial State have to offer.”
With this flight, DEN now flies nonstop to more than 190 destinations worldwide, including 26 international destinations in 11 countries.
