DENVER – Feb. 10, 2023 – Denver International Airport (DEN) and the Denver Animal Shelter (DAS) brought the annual Puppy Bowl back to the terminal after a pause due to the pandemic! Eight adorable puppies up for adoption were streamed live on the DEN Facebook page. The pups went nose to nose this year as they played ruff, took water-bowl breaks and enjoyed their half-time naps.
“We are delighted to work with Denver Animal Shelter in bringing our annual Puppy Bowl back to DEN,” said DEN CEO Phill Washington. “One of our guiding principles is to enhance our customers’ experience, and there’s no better way to sweeten their travel day than to show up with puppies. It’s a win-win because we’re also helping our partners at the shelter find forever homes for the many animals in their care.”
“Pups from Denver Animal Shelter are ready to let the fur fly for the 2023 Puppy Bowl,” said Melanie Sobel, Director of Denver Animal Protection and the Denver Animal Shelter. “The support of our community is crucial to sustaining and expanding the life-saving services and programs we offer, and we’re thrilled to be able to engage with our community in this fur-tastic event.”
The eight puppies featured at DEN will be available for adoption on a first-come, first-served basis starting Feb. 11. DAS is located at 1241 W. Bayaud Ave., Denver. Shelter hours on Saturday are from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
DAS also has many other animals available for adoption; you can see them at DenverAnimalShelter.org.
