DENVER – Feb. 7, 2025 – Denver International Airport (DEN) and Denver Animal Shelter (DAS) have teamed up once again for DEN’s annual Puppy Bowl. The event featured seven precious puppies that are up for adoption and was streamed live on the DEN Facebook page.
“We are delighted to collaborate with Denver Animal Shelter on DEN’s annual Puppy Bowl,” DEN Senior Vice President of Communications, Marketing and Customer Experience Stacey Stegman said. “This event has become a fun, heart-warming tradition, creating a one-of-a-kind and memorable experience for our passengers. It’s a win-win, offering joy to travelers while helping these puppies find their forever homes.”
DAS is Denver’s open-admission shelter, which means it takes in every lost and abandoned animal that comes through its doors. The shelter also provides free after-hours animal kennels, in which community members can safely leave a stray or surrendered pet. DAS also hosts Denver Animal Protection (DAP) officers who provide around-the-clock animal rescue.
“We’re thrilled to see such super-sized attention focused on our deserving homeless animals,” Melanie Sobel, Director of Denver Animal Protection and the Denver Animal Shelter, said. “Adopting a pet from DAS means giving an unwanted animal a second chance at a life with a loving family. When you adopt a shelter pet, especially from a municipal shelter like Denver, you also make space for other needy pets that come through our doors. Last year, DAS took in nearly 10,000 lost, unwanted, injured and mistreated animals—the highest ever.”
The puppies featured today at DEN will be available for adoption on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8 at DAS, located at 1241 W. Bayaud Ave., Denver, CO, 80223.
The Denver Animal Shelter’s other animals available for adoption can be found on their website: DenverAnimalShelter.org.
