DEN to Close Portion of West Economy Lot for Necessary Repairs

Home

DENVER – March 3, 2025 – On April 1, Denver International Airport (DEN) will close a large portion of the West Economy Lot to conduct necessary improvements and repairs. Over 2,500 spaces will close to make way for the repairs, which include reconstructing shelter islands and curbs, installing new snow storage pads, updating the drainage system, and repaving and restriping. The improvements ensure that DEN remains ADA compliant within its facilities.

Approximately 2,000 spaces on the northern side of the lot will remain open. Signage will be in place. When the West Economy Lot reaches capacity, drivers should use the East Garage, West Garage, East Economy, Pikes Peak Shuttle Lot and 61st & Peña station parking. See real time parking availability here.

The lot is expected to reopen when work is complete in October of this year. Any vehicles left in the work zones will be relocated to a vehicle depository within the lot, located in Section 3 Rows Y-Z. Passengers who need to retrieve their vehicle should call (303) 342-4650 for instructions to recover their vehicle.
