DENVER – Nov. 22, 2024— Denver International Airport (DEN) celebrated the opening of Denver-based Mister Oso, Bar Dough and Aviano Coffee on Concourse C-East today. These are the first restaurants to open in the new Concourse C-East expansion area.
“As DEN works to accommodate and prepare for 100 million annual passengers within the next several years, we must also be continually planning for the expansion of our dine-shop-retail options,” DEN CEO Phil Washington said. “As the third busiest airport in the U.S. with 215 nonstop destinations, we are committed to providing diverse and high-quality dining options that reflect the vibrant culture of Denver. That’s why we are so pleased to welcome these three beloved concepts to our newest expansion area in Concourse C.”
Spanning an impressive 8,572 square feet with seating for 270, this world-class marketplace will elevate the food and beverage offerings on Concourse C by featuring three beloved Denver brands: Mister Oso, Bar Dough and Aviano Coffee. This marketplace is currently the largest food and beverage space on Concourse C.
All three concepts are operated by Paradies Lagardère, a leading North American airport concessionaire that acquired award-winning airport restaurateur Taste on the Fly last year.
“We are thrilled to announce the opening of our new restaurants at Denver International Airport,” Paradies Lagardère President and CEO Gregg Paradies said. “These dining options will enhance the travel experience for the millions who pass through DEN each year.“
These two celebrated local restaurants have earned accolades and a loyal following. Mister Oso, serving Latin-inspired cuisine along the Front Range since 2019, has garnered numerous awards alongside its parent company, Señor Bear. Bar Dough, a local Italian favorite in Denver’s LoHi neighborhood since 2017, is led by celebrity Chef Carrie Baird, who gained national recognition on Season 15 of Top Chef in Colorado.
Finally, this location will be Aviano Coffee’s fourth in the Denver Metro area and second at DEN.
“This is an especially exciting time for The Culinary Creative Group as we expand with three concepts into Denver International Airport. Bar Dough, our award-winning Italian restaurant, was one of our first restaurants in Denver, and now, alongside Chef Max Makissock, our Chief Culinary Officer, we’ve opened 15 more unique restaurants. Mister Oso, our cheeky Latin smoked-meat taco restaurant that recently won its second Michelin Bib Gourmand, has brought joy to so many in Denver with its fun, funky interior and playful menu of frozen drinks and tacos, and we believe travelers will love its transportive vibes. Aviano, our third-wave coffee shop, is known for exceptional Italian coffee and the highest standards, making it a perfect match for discerning coffee drinkers worldwide,” Culinary Creative Group Founder Juan Pedro said. “Hundreds of thousands of people in Denver have enjoyed Aviano, Bar Dough, and Mister Oso over the years, and it’s remarkable to think we’re now bringing these brands to the world. We feel incredibly proud to partner with world-class collaborators Paradies Lagardère and Huy Pham from Innovation Retail Group.”
The three new food and beverage outposts are operated by Innovative Retail Group, a certified Airport Concession Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) that now has 18 locations at DEN.
“We are excited to introduce the popular local brands Aviano Coffee, Mister Oso and Bar Dough to Denver International Airport,” Founder and CEO of Innovative Retail Group, LLC Huy Pham said. “Each concept has been thoughtfully curated to offer travelers a unique experience, whether they’re looking for a quick caffeine boost, a satisfying meal or a delicious snack. These new additions reflect our commitment to quality and innovation, ensuring that every visit to the airport is memorable.”
Mister Oso, Bar Dough and Aviano Coffee are located near gate C54.
