DENVER – Oct. 28, 2021 – Today, United announced expanded service between Denver and London-Heathrow (LHR) beginning March 26, 2022. The carrier will operate twice-daily flights to the British capital onboard a Boeing 787-9.
United launched summer seasonal DEN-LHR flights on March 24, 2018, and the service was expanded to operate year-round in March 2019. United is scheduled to resume Denver-London flights on March 4, 2022 and will be the first carrier in Denver history to operate double-daily flights to a European destination.
“Increased connectivity to London adds significant depth to United’s network at DEN,” said DEN CEO Phil Washington. “Local and connecting passengers alike will benefit from another option for transatlantic travel through the ever-expanding DEN gateway.”
In 2019 London ranked as DEN’s largest overseas market with nearly 250,000 annual travelers between the two cities. With this new service, United will operate four daily departures from Denver to Europe – two to London, one to Frankfurt and one to Munich – the most transatlantic frequency ever offered by any carrier from Denver.
Denver International Airport is one of the busiest airports in the world. DEN is the primary economic engine for the state of Colorado, generating more than $36 billion for the region annually.
