DENVER – June 4, 2016 – Air Canada today began new, nonstop service from Denver International Airport (DEN) to Montreal, Quebec, Canada, filling an important missing link within Denver’s air service network.
With nearly 35,000 annual passengers traveling between the two cities, Montreal ranked as Denver’s largest Canadian market without nonstop service, and Denver’s fourth-largest international market without nonstop service.
“Air Canada has been a tremendous partner with Denver International Airport for more than two decades, and we are delighted to see the airline grow its presence with the addition of service between the Mile High City and Montreal,” said airport CEO Kim Day. “This new flight will boost our international portfolio and strengthen our city’s economic ties with Canada.”
Air Canada ranks as Denver’s longest tenured foreign-flag carrier and celebrated 20 years of service in the market in October 2015. Air Canada also currently provides twice-daily flights (three times daily during the summer) between Toronto and Denver.
“Air Canada is very pleased to launch this new service to Denver International Airport from Montreal,” said Lisa Pierce, senior director, USA sales and market development at Air Canada. “Our daily, nonstop flights will be offered year-round to accommodate the many Canadians who travel to Denver for business or to explore the region’s appealing tourist sites and enjoy outdoor activities. It also gives Denver residents an opportunity to conveniently visit Montreal, one of North America’s oldest cities, known for its vibrant French-English culture, family-friendly attractions, world class restaurants and vibrant arts scene. This service complements our double-daily non-stop service to Denver from Toronto. Air Canada is Canada’s largest airline and the foreign carrier that operates the most flights to the USA, so the addition of a Montreal-Denver route is a natural extension of our growing global network.”
Air Canada’s Montreal-Denver flights will be operated using an Air Canada Express, 73-seat Embraer aircraft. Customers will have the choice of two classes of service, Business or Economy. The aircraft also features infight Wi-Fi, free personal digital seatback entertainment with hundreds of hours of content, including the latest movies, and a power port accessible at every seat. As a member of the Star Alliance, Air Canada is a partner with United Airlines offering convenient connections at Denver.
The new flight will depart Montreal at 3:35 p.m. and arrive in Denver at 5:50 p.m. daily. It will depart Denver at 6:25 p.m. and arrive in Montreal at 11:59 p.m. daily (all local times).
