About Carry-On Coffee

Carry-On Coffee is an exciting new retail concept coming to Denver International Airport, specializing in premium whole bean coffee, gourmet snacks, leather travel goods, Colorado-inspired gifts, and unique travel accessories.

We are looking for energetic, outgoing, and customer-focused Sales Associates who love interacting with people from around the world. This is not a traditional cashier position. We are seeking sales professionals who enjoy engaging travelers, recommending products, and creating memorable customer experiences.

Position Summary

As a Sales Associate, you will serve as a brand ambassador for Carry-On Coffee by welcoming guests, engaging travelers in conversation, and helping customers discover products that enhance their journey.

This role requires standing for extended periods and maintaining a professional, energetic presence throughout your shift.

Responsibilities

Guest Experience

• Greet every guest promptly and pleasantly, always with a smile.
• Engage travelers in friendly conversations and provide exceptional customer service.
• Build relationships with customers and create memorable shopping experiences.
• Actively recommend additional products, gift items, and travel essentials to customers.
• Explain product features and make personalized recommendations.

Sales & Merchandising

• Meet and exceed individual and team sales goals.
• Maintain attractive product displays and fully stocked shelves.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate product shortages immediately to management.
• Assist with receiving and stocking merchandise.

Store Operations

• Regularly clean and sanitize the work environment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional retail space.
• Communicate any product runouts, equipment issues, or quality-of-service concerns to the Manager immediately.
• Follow all airport safety, security, and operational procedures.

Qualifications

Required

✔ Must be at least 18 years of age.

✔ Previous retail, hospitality, airport, tourism, or sales experience preferred.

✔ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

✔ Ability to comfortably engage with customers and initiate conversations.

✔ Professional appearance and positive attitude.

✔ Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the entire shift.

✔ Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.

✔ Must be able to work varied schedules including:

• Days
• Evenings
• Weekends
• Holidays
• Inclement weather conditions

✔ Ability to work in a fast-paced airport environment.

Physical Requirements

• Standing and walking for 8–10 hour shifts.
• Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and stocking merchandise.
• Ability to lift and carry merchandise weighing up to 35 lbs.
