Concourse A/E/C Program

BDTA offers three course levels for the AEC Concourse Program: Concourse 100, 200, and 300

  • Concourse 100 is designed for entry level businesses that have little or no experience working at DEN, or businesses that have completed work at DEN but have experienced a turnover of staff resulting in lost experience.

  • Concourse 200 is designed for experienced small businesses that have either completed Concourse 100 or completed several projects at DEN as either a prime or sub-contractor.

  • Concourse 300 is currently in the planning phase. We hope to role this content out in 2026.

A/E/C Concourse 100 Course Description

The Business Development Training Academy (BDTA) AEC Concourse 100 is an eight-week course that will provide your business with a high-level overview of numerous important topics related to doing contract work at Denver International Airport (DEN). These topics include, understanding the DEN organization chart, how to network and build relationships, understanding contracts and contract types, safety, risk management, insurance, bonding, the procurement process, and finances. This course is ideal for businesses who have limited to no knowledge or experience at DEN and would like to learn the key knowledge and skills needed to bid and win contracts at DEN.

A/E/C Concourse 200 Course Description

The Business Development Training Academy (BDTA) AEC Concourse 200 is a highly interactive, eight-week course that takes an in-depth look at many critical concepts related to doing contract work at Denver International Airport (DEN) and increase your knowledge of the contract life cycle from advertisement to closeout. Topics include the RFP process, execution of contract expectations, contract management responsibilities, software, regulations, compliance, and the closeout process. Each week, students will work in teams to apply the information they have learned to create artifacts and documents that will be a part of the capstone group presentation. Classes will be taught by industry experts, key DEN staff, and prime contractors. This course will prepare you to submit proposals and win contracts at DEN, but it will take a high level of commitment and require time outside of the scheduled class time to complete.
