We’ve all run into THAT traveler
The one that holds up the security line, blocks the restroom doorway or watches a movie at the gate with no headphones in sight.
The good news? It’s easy to avoid being that traveler! Follow these simple travel etiquette tips to make the journey smoother for yourself and those around you. Your fellow flyers will thank you!
#1: Eyes up, phone down
Staring at your phone while winding through a busy airport can be treacherous. Need to check directions, texts or social media? Step to the side and out of the flow of traffic.
#2: Shhh…no speakerphone
No one wants to hear a meeting summary from your colleague or the latest drama in the group chat. Help us keep shared spaces comfortable for everyone by putting headphones on or holding the phone up to your ear.
#3: Stand on the right, walk on the left on moving walkways
Think of our moving walkways like the slow and fast lane on a highway. If you’re standing, stay to the right. If you’re walking, pass on the left. It allows for smoother flow of traffic.
#4: Don’t block doorways
Whether it’s a restroom, restaurant or gate area, leave hallways clear so your fellow travelers can pass through efficiently.
#5: Let people exit the elevator before you hop on
Travelers exiting an elevator should always have the right of way. Step aside and allow the elevator to clear before getting on.
Smooth travels await
