Denver International Airport Celebrates 55 years of Cleo Parker Robinson Dance with Exhibition of Performance Costumes

Cleo Parker Robinson Dance costumes on display are from historical performances including Angelitos Negros, which premiered in 1989, Granny Dances to a Holiday Drum, which premiered in 1991, Mary Don’t You Weep, which premiered in 1971, Raindance, which premiered in 1994, and With You I’m Born Again, which premiered in 1980.

Founded by American dancer and choreographer Cleo Parker Robinson, Cleo Parker Robinson Dance is an international performing arts and educational institution rooted in African American traditions and the Diaspora. CPRD is dedicated to excellence in providing cross-cultural performances and enrichment programs – empowering all communities by cultivating healthy mind, body and spirit development for intergenerational students, artists and audiences.
