Celebrating 10 Years of The Westin Denver International Airport

DENVER – Nov. 19, 2025 – Denver International Airport (DEN) and Marriott International, Inc. are celebrating a decade of the Westin Denver International Airport. Connected to DEN’s Jeppesen Terminal via the airport’s open-air plaza, the Westin is the only hotel located on property.

Over the past decade, approximately 1,390,000 rooms have been reserved. Those travelers have enjoyed the convenience of spending the night at DEN with easy access to RTD’s A Line commuter rail, which provides service to Downtown Denver. When the hotel opened, it marked the completion of a long-term vision for an on-site hotel and a connected transit center at the airport.

“I’m proud to recognize our partnership with Marriott and celebrate 10 fabulous years of serving traveling public,” DEN CEO Phil Washington said. “The Westin truly elevates our customer experience by offering a top-tier hotel with amenities and dining options, located just steps away from the Jeppesen Terminal. The hotel has exceeded expectations and has become a recognizable part of DEN.”

The anniversary is also a time to reflect on years of various airport and private events that have contributed to continued economic growth across the region. With 37,500 square feet of meeting space, the property offers DEN and other organizations expansive ballrooms and meeting venues to connect with the community and promote business and tourism throughout Colorado and beyond.

The Westin Denver International Airport also features a 24-hour fitness center, indoor pool, multiple on-site dining and bar concepts, a business center, and offers sweeping views of DEN and the Rocky Mountains. The hotel is also known and celebrated for being pet-friendly.

DEN and Marriott are particularly proud to celebrate and recognize the associates who have been at The Westin from the very start. There are 35 original employees who have been serving guests at The Westin for the past 10 years.

“We are incredibly proud of the dedication and hard work of our Marriott Associates, whose legacy now spans 10 years in Denver,” said The Westin Denver International Airport General Manager Kurt Hanson. “These remarkable individuals helped lay the foundation for what has become a true gateway to and from the Rocky Mountains— a center of hospitality that welcomes all to experience the greatness of our state. To everyone who has been part of this journey— past and present— thank you. Your contributions continue to push our hotel to be one of the very best in Colorado.”

In addition to 1,390,000 room reservations, the past 10 years have seen other impressive milestones:

  • 500,000 Bonvoy reward member stays
  • 450,000 glasses of wine
  • 30,250 cappuccinos sold
  • 19,200 Old Fashions created

The hotel’s dominant presence and unique architecture (resembling a bird in flight) anchors the south end of Jeppesen Terminal and serves as a focal point for all who approach DEN along the Peña Boulevard corridor. The Westin Denver International Airport opened its doors at DEN on November 19, 2015.
