DEN’s new 61st and Peña Pay-on-Foot parking lot helps marry DEN with RTD’s University of Colorado A Line commuter rail service. Customers may park at the 61st and Pena lot and ride the A Line commuter rail for $9 to the airport or downtown (see more A Line information at www.RTD-Denver.com/a-line). There are no shuttles or bus service operating from this parking lot.

Access to the facility is via Tower Road to 61st Avenue; turn onto North Panasonic Way to reach the entrance.

Once inside the lot, parkers must PRE-PAY…and…ONLY credit cards are accepted. Cost is $2 every 12 hours; or you may purchase a 30-day pass for $36 (a maximum of one month at a time may be purchased). There are no discounts for using this lot; nor is there any free parking.

Eight payment kiosks are located throughout the lot. Once paid, parkers must place the receipt on their dashboard as confirmation of payment. The lot has 800 spaces total, with 609 of them beneath canopies that double as solar electric panels. The lot also has 11 electric vehicle charging stations.

The same airport services will be provided at this lot as at other DEN parking facilities: free lockout assistance, jump starts, and tire inflation.

A Line Information

Those using this new lot will likely take the A Line to their final destination, like the airport, downtown, and places in-between.

Information about the A Line schedule and fare is at this link: http://www3.rtd-denver.com/a-line.shtml

Riding the A Line costs $9; transit time to the airport is an estimated 11 minutes.

Electric Vehicle Charging Stations available

The 11 EV charging stations (all Level 1 type units) are free to use and are located at the south and west sides of the lot.  Use of the charging stations is first-come, first-serve.
