Most Airline Counters Move to Temporary Locations
DEN is temporarily relocating 24 airline check-in/bag drop counters as construction continues on the Great Hall Program. Between April 9 and June 30, the counters at the south end of Jeppesen Terminal’s east and west sides will be temporarily moving from Level 6 to Level 5. These airlines will remain on Level 5 in their temporary operation through mid-2027.

What We Offer
The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. New hires are typically brought into the organization between $132,000.00 – $175,800.00. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

Location & Schedule
The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. In this position you can expect to work on site, at the airport, 3 days per week. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.
Who We Are & What You’ll Do
The Denver International Airport (DEN) Operations Analytics & Innovation division is actively seeking a Innovation & Data Initiatives Project Manager II to contribute to their dynamic and innovative programming. As part of DEN's Strategic Plan, Vision 100, which envisions reaching 100 million annual passengers, Operations Analytics & Innovation plays a pivotal role in transforming the aviation industry. The Operations Analytics & Innovation division empowers our DEN Operations Division with data-driven capabilities, analytics, and innovative solutions to optimize operations, enhance decision-making, and drive strategic growth. We foster a culture of creativity, improve operational resilience, and enhance the efficiency of DENs Operation.
Performs advanced professional-level project management for complex, data- and technology-driven initiatives from initiation through completion. Oversees projects with city-wide impact, requiring coordination across multiple departments and agencies. Success in this role demands a strategic understanding of intergovernmental operations, including city, state, and federal policies, standards, and systems.
Specifically, as the Innovation & Data Initiatives Project Manager II you will:
Collaborate cross-functionally to align technology and data strategies with DEN’s Vision 100.
Lead research and pilot initiatives to inform innovation roadmaps and recommend scalable solutions.
Develop project charters, scopes, and documentation to initiate innovation or data projects.
Manage large, complex, multi-disciplinary capital improvement and redevelopment projects.
Perform end-to-end project management, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, execution, and closeout.
Utilize agile methodologies to support product development and project delivery.
Coordinate with internal departments, elected officials, external agencies, and community/business stakeholders.
Review project designs for quality, technical standards, and code compliance; resolves project barriers.
Administer contracts, prepares RFP/RFQ materials, and supports procurement and selection processes.
Develop and monitors communication plans and stakeholder updates, including risk and mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with permitting, regulatory requirements, and city/state/federal guidelines.
Oversee consultant teams, managing change control and quality assurance for successful project outcomes.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Employees may be re-deployed to work in other capacities in their own agencies or in other City agencies to support core functions of the City during a City-wide emergency declared by the Mayor.
Any one position may not include all the duties listed. However, the allocation of positions will be determined by the amount of time spent in performing the essential duties listed above
