What We Offer 

The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The salary range for this position is between $100,000 – $135,000.00 depending on years of experience, education and internal equity. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.   

In this position you can expect to work on site at least 3 days per week at the Denver International Airport.

What You’ll Do 

Denver International Airport (DEN) is currently seeking an IT Compliance Administrator to join the DEN Business Technologies (BT) Compliance Team.  The BT Compliance Team is responsible for information technology governance, risk, and compliance. This includes managing policy and compliance, risk management, audit management, vendor risk management, and ensuring compliance with related regulatory requirements.  We are a strategic and collaborative business partner to DEN employees and business units by providing support, guidance, and counsel on compliance risks and their potential impact to DEN as well as assisting them with implementing compliance best practices into operations with the intent to protect DEN.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Perform a variety of compliance related task in ServiceNow Governance, Risk, and Compliance to include but not limited to process workflows for policy and compliance, risk management, operational resilience, regulatory change management, and audit management.
  • Policy and compliance functions consist of developing policies, standards, and procedures and completing periodic review of the team’s documents. Working with document owners and reviewers to ensure periodic review processes are completed in a timely manner and documents are managed and stored in appropriate repositories.  Develop, and maintain controls ensuring compliance to policies and managing policy exceptions.
  • Risk management functions consist of reviewing federal, state, and local requirements, as well as industry best practices to identify risks, existing and new controls to ensure compliance and operational resilience. Develop and perform a variety of risk assessments by collaborating with appropriate stakeholders. Managing vendor risks throughout the lifecycle of vendor management.
  • Regulatory change management function consists of proactively reviewing regulatory and industry best practice changes and incorporating updates to current processes.
  • Audit management functions includes managing internal and external audits throughout the audit lifecycle. Working with auditors and stakeholders to coordinate interviews and gather documentation. Manage audit recommendations and ensure timely remediation.
  • Assist with process improvement and enhancements to compliance processes and tools. Testing current and new system workflows to ensure accuracy of processes.
  • Assist with PCI compliance including efforts with the annual Report on Compliance, risk assessments, tabletop exercises, etc. Provide business partners with guidance on PCI requirements.
  • Develop and maintain process metrics and reporting for the different areas of compliance requirements ensuring accountability of work performance.
  • Develop compliance training programs, coordinating training sessions, and monitor compliance for appropriate personnel.
  • Other duties as assigned.

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and industry best practices including National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) frameworks, Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS), Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requirements, Code of Federal Regulations, data privacy requirements for sensitive data such as Personally Identifiable Information (PII), Sensitive Security Information (SSI), etc.
  • Experience with compliance tools such as ServiceNow Governance, Risk, and Compliance.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite and Service Now
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Organizational skills  
  • Ability to learn and execute multiple complex processes with minimal errors 
  • A self-starter able to accomplish tasks in a timely manner 

Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field based on a specific position(s)
  • Experience: Three (3) years of technical or administrative experience performing research and evaluation OR three years of experience performing technical and administrative duties within the related functional area. (Some positions may require experience in a specific area)
  • Education and Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post high school education. Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.

Snow / Emergency Duties: Denver International Airport is a 24/7/365 team operation. If weather conditions warrant or an emergency crisis occurs, all DEN employees may be required to work extended hours and/or shifts.
