About Our Job

Who We Are

The Airline and Commercial Affairs division at Denver International Airport (DEN) manages the relationship with all current and future air carriers. Airlines are one of the most important stakeholders for any airport. Currently, DEN has three major carriers; United, Southwest and Frontier that represent nearly 85% of all passenger traffic. DEN, as the third busiest airport in the nation, has 23 United States and International Carriers. With record breaking passenger traffic, we thrive to not only maintain the current level of national and international connectivity but continue to increase destinations. Recently, DEN announced two brand new carriers, Viva Aerobus with new nonstop service to Mexico’s Monterrey International Airport (MTY) and Aer Lingus with new nonstop flights to Dublin Airport (DUB).

Beyond maintaining relationships, the Airline Affairs division is also heavily engaged with ongoing construction projects that require airline moves to include the A East Ground Load Facility that will add 14 new gates for Frontier, the Great Hall project, and the Concourse Expansion Program. Any major capital improvement project will have a significant impact to airline operations and the passenger experience, so it is imperative that there is open communication and critical coordination.
