Lavatory & Water Agent

 
Providing a safe and clean travel experience to our passengers
Are you interested in working around aircraft ranging from 50-seat regional jets all the way up to a Boeing 777 or 787 Dreamliner? Are you an outdoors type who enjoys all kinds of weather? Do you have a valid US Driver’s License?
 
Then working as a Lavatory & Water Agent at United Ground Express, a subsidiary of United Airlines, is right for you!
 
Caring for Customers
Drive and operate a lavatory truck to service aircraft lavatories
Use lavatory and sanitary water equipment to safely empty, flush, and fill aircraft systems according to airline and regulatory requirements
Complete Daily Equipment Checks and associated checklists, including security searches
Use personal protective equipment, including a face shield & hearing protection
 
You’ll be provided the tools you need on the Runway to Success!
We provide paid training, including orientation, classroom, virtual, and on-the-job training
When you’re ready, you can explore roles such as Lead Agent, Dispatcher, Compliance Coordinator, Supervisor, General Manager and more
 
Flexibility
Since this is a union job based on seniority, you will be assigned your initial schedule to meet our needs at the airport
You must be available for day shifts, night shifts, weekends and holidays
You will be required to work mandatory overtime, when necessary
As you gain seniority, you can trade days with colleagues, pick up extra hours and have more control over your schedule
Punctuality and reliability are essential – we’ve got flight schedules to meet!
 
We reward your efforts
$19.87 per hour, per the union contract

UGE requirements
Minimum of 18 years old
Must possess and maintain a valid U.S. state driver’s license (suspended, expired, revoked or denied licenses are not valid)
Ability to read, write, and speak in English
Ability to operate a computer/tablet, to enter and retrieve data
Ability to lift up to 70lbs on a consistent basis
Ability to pass a background check, hearing and vision tests, and drug screen
Eligibility to obtain necessary credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal) per local requirements
Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
ADA Specifications
Ability to operate a computer to enter and retrieve data
Ability to lift up to 70lbs on a consistent basis
Ability to pass all pre-screening clearances (including a background check, hearing and vision tests, and drug screen)
