Worst of Snowstorm Over, but Residual Delays, Cancellations Expected
Updated: 8:59 p.m. Denver time, Friday, February 03, 2012
The worst of a strong winter storm is over for the Denver metro area, but Denver International Airport expects to see some residual flight delays and cancellations through Saturday, February 4. Denver International Airport has remained open throughout the storm, though approximately 600 flights were canceled throughout the day on Friday, February 3. Airport snow crews will transition into clean-up mode overnight and into tomorrow. All travelers with plans to fly to or from Denver Friday night or Saturday are still strongly encouraged to call their airline ahead of time to verify whether or not their flights are operating as scheduled. Anyone traveling to the airport by car should use extreme caution as winter driving conditions remain in effect. Denver International Airport will provide additional updates only if conditions warrant.
