CONCOURSE C EAST - 10 MAINLINE GATE EXPANSION

CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT / GENERAL CONTRACTOR

Denver, Colorado February 12, 2008

Description: The Department of Aviation for the City and County of Denver is requesting Proposals for the purposes of selecting a Construction Management / General Contractor (CM / GC) firm to construct the Concourse C 10 Gate Expansion. This expansion of the existing building will be approximately 285,000 square feet and will serve mainline airplanes and passengers. The facility will be extended to the east from the end of Concourse C onto an operating airfield. The CM/GC also will be required to provide pre-construction services to assist the City and the Architect Team in refining the design of the building and assembling early work packages so that the project can be constructed in a timely manner. A Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) will be developed by the CM /GC contractor during the pre-construction services phase of the project.

Proposals Due: Proposals in response to the RFP will be due no later than 2:00 PM, LOCAL TIME, MARCH 13, 2008 and must be submitted to Nathan Jones at the Technical Services Office, Room 8810, Airport Office Building, Denver International Airport, 8500 Pena Blvd., Denver, CO 80249.

Pre-Proposal Conference: A Pre-Proposal Conference will be held at 10:00 AM, LOCAL TIME, FEBRUARY 21, 2008 at the Elrey Jeppesen Terminal Building (Main Terminal), Denver International Airport, 8400 Pena Blvd., Denver, Colorado 80249-6235, Level 6, northwest corner of the inner core, next to the Denver Health Medical Clinic, in the room marked Press Interview Room.

Minority Business Enterprise and Women Business Enterprise Participation: Professional design and construction services contracts made and entered into by the City and County of Denver are subject to Article III, Divisions 1 and 3 of Chapter 28 of the Denver Revised Municipal Code (D.R.M.C.), and all Minority Business Enterprise and Women Business Enterprise Utilization adopted by the Director of the Division of Small Business Opportunity (DSBO).

Article III, Divisions 1 and 3 of Chapter 28 of the D.R.M.C. directs the Director of DSBO to establish a project goal for expenditures on professional design and construction services work contracted by the City and County of Denver. The specific goal for this project is 20% Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Women Business Enterprise (WBE) participation.
