NOTICE OF INVITATION FOR BIDS

CONTRACT NO. CE 70007

Taxiway AA VSR West

Denver, Colorado March 14, 2007

Sealed bids for Contract No. CE 70007, Taxiway AA VSR West will be received no later than:

2:00 PM, Wednesday, April 11, 2007 Local Time

at the Elrey Jeppesen Terminal Building, Denver International Airport, 8400 Peņa Blvd., Denver, Colorado 80249-6235, in the room marked PRESS ROOM, which is located on Level 6 in the northwest corner of the inner core, near the Denver Health Medical Center. Bids must be time stamped no later than 2:00 PM, Wednesday, April 11, 2007, immediately after which a public bid opening will commence. Any bids to be submitted more than one hour prior to Bid Opening shall be submitted at the office of Technical Services, attention Nathan Jones, Room 8810, Airport Office Building (AOB), Denver International Airport, 8500 Peņa Blvd., Denver, CO 80249-6340.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF WORK

Construction of approximately 1900 lf of a vehicle service road (VSR) along the south side of Taxiway AA, including pavement removal, placement of approximately 5,700 tons of asphalt, 1,300 lf of trench drain, pavement marking, and other items.

DOCUMENTS AVAILABLE

Contract documents, including specifications, will be available for purchase at the office of Carter Burgess, 707 17th Street, Suite 2300, Denver, CO 80202, phone 303-820-5292, at a cost of $150.00 per set (no refund) beginning March 15, 2007. Payment will be accepted in the form of a check made payable to Carter Burgess.

PREQUALIFICATION

Each bidder must be pre-qualified in the category of CE-6, Paving Contractor, at the $2,500,000.00 level, in accordance with the City's Rules and Regulations Governing Prequalification of Contractors. Each bidder must have submitted a prequalification application a minimum of seven (7) calendar days prior to the bid opening date. Applications must be returned to the Department of Public Works, Prequalification Section, Dept. 509, 201 West Colfax Avenue, Denver, CO 80202. PRE-BID CONFERENCE AND INSPECTION

All bidders are invited to a pre-bid conference at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at the Elrey Jeppesen Terminal Building, Denver International Airport, 8400 Peņa Blvd., Denver, CO 80249-6235, Level 6, northwest corner of the inner core and south of the Denver Health Medical Clinic in the room marked PRESS ROOM. A site visit will be conducted immediately following the Pre-Bid Conference.

DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISE PARTICIPATION

Federally-funded construction, reconstruction, remodeling, and professional design services contracts made and entered into by the City and County of Denver are subject to Federal statutes and regulations regarding Disadvantaged Business Enterprise participation.

The Director of the Division of Small Business Opportunity (DSBO) is authorized to establish project goals for expenditures on construction, reconstruction and remodeling and professional design services work let by the City and County of Denver. The specific goal for this project is 10% Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE).

The project goal must be met with certified participants as set forth in 49 CFR Part 26 or through the demonstration of a sufficient good faith effort under 49 CFR Part 26.

The Director of the Division of Small Business Opportunity urges all participants in the construction, reconstruction, remodeling, and professional design services projects not to discriminate against women and minorities or any other persons and to assist in achieving these goals.

MISCELLANEOUS

As its best interests may appear, the City and County of Denver reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities in bids.

The work under the Contract is subject to minimum wage rates established by the City and County of Denver Career Service Board.
