"Rising", created by Canadian video artist Isabelle Hayeur, is a site-specific installation designed to look like an extension of the actual architectural space in which it is placed. This trompe-l’oeil video projection creates the illusion of space in perspective and takes the viewer down a meandering corridor that leads outside into a grassland landscape. The viewer contemplates the land and is eventually transported over it, into the sky. This work was commissioned as part of the "Friends as Neighbors" project and will be on display through July 2013.
